STAGE 1
ALBA AND THE HAZELNUT
Transfer to Alba for a guided tour of the medieval city and its medieval towers.
On Saturday, a visit of the local market with farmers sharing typical products, including the famous hazelnut.
Lunch at the Osteria noted by SLOW FOOD with a tasting menu and the famous hazelnut cake, made with locally produced hazelnuts, the famous “tonda gentile” of Langhe IGP, a Slow Food Presidium and protagonist of the Piedmontese confectionery tradition and Gianduja chocolate.
STAGE 2
BARBARESCO
Transfer to the turreted village of Barbaresco for a visit to a winery reported by Slow Food, meeting producers of the famous Barbaresco wine; A guided tour of the winery and vineyards and tasting of different vintages in the cellar of Barbaresco.
Walk to the famous medieval tower in the center of Barbaresco and climb to enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of the Roero hills and the vineyards of the Nebbiolo vine
Toast with a glass of Barbaresco from the top of the tower
STAGE 3
ROERO AND THE CIABOT PIEMONTE ROERO VIGNA
Transfer to Govone, a small town in Roero and visit of its famous Savoy castle
Visit to a small family-run winery for the production of Roero DOCG, Arneis and Nebbiolo, Barbera DOC and Roero wines
Merenda sinoira at the restored ciabot, a small rural building in the middle of the vineyards, for a true and authentic convivial experience.
Return to Turin in the evening
