STAGE 01
THE BLACK MADONNA AND THE BUTTER OF ALTO ELVO
Leaving from Turin.
Transfer to Oropa and guided visit of the Santuario di Oropa, the church of the Black Madonna, the most important Marian Sanctuary of Alps, surrounded by a unique and pristine scenery 1200 mt high, twenty minutes from Biella center.
The spiritual heart of the Sanctuary is the ancient Basilica: inside its chapel is guarded the statue of the black Madonna, crafted in cermon wood, and brought by Saint Eusebio from Palestine in the IV century a.C.
Guided tour of the sanctuary of Monastero Trappa di Sordevolo, where the raw milk butter of Alta Valle Elvo is produced, made only with the milk of pezzate rosse cows of Oropa, presidio Slow Food.

STAGE 02
HISTORICAL RICETTO AND MACAGN CHEESE
Transfer to Candelo village and guided tour of its famous Ricetto, an original medieval fortified village built to protect the food stores of the ancient village
Visit of the Borgo where you will have the chance to see live the production of the best local slow food products: Erbaluce wine butter from alps and macagn cheese
Didactic Laboratory Slow Food and lunch in Ricetto with tasting menu including excellent presidium products
STAGE 03
LESSONA WINE AND NEBBIOLO SELLA WINE
Transfer to Lessona village and visit of the famous and historical Sella family estate
The lands of Lessona with its ancient sea sands gives fineness and delicacy to the wines cultivated in this small Piedmont region
This wine is obtained from the best grapes selected in the hills of Lessona.
Guided tour of the historical cellar and tasting of Nebbiolo and Lessona wines.
Dinner at the local trattoria based on a merenda sinoira with the best products of the valley.
Return to Turin in the evening
