10 Apr VINUM 2019, Italy’s greatest open air wine bar in Alba from April 25th
Vinum is a showcase and at the same time an opportunity to taste the greatest wines of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato and to stay in the Unesco heritage hills.
The excellent local productions are presented in the historic center of Alba accompanied by Street Food ëd Langa, high quality street food, rich in history and tradition of the Langhe.
In the days of Vinum the squares of the city become tasting counters dedicated to the tasting of the main types of wines produced in the area: Barolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto, Moscato, Roero Arneis and Roero, whites of the Langhe, l ‘Asti Spumante and the wines of Monferrato, not forgetting the Grappa and the distillates of Piedmont.
The tastings, guided and cared for by the AIS Italian Sommelier Association, take place from 10.30 to 20.00 for the entire duration of the event.
Every square of Vinum presents the Street Food ëd Langa: territorial finger food of the highest quality. Maximum expression of Piedmontese gastronomic tradition, the Street Food ëd Langa uses raw materials and local products.
Served in single portions, it allows you to taste the delicacies of our land while strolling through the city and sipping a glass of wine: gnocchi with black truffle, egg or tomino with black truffle, Piedmontese mixed fry, agnolotti stuffed with Piedmontese fassone meat, meatballs of Langa, hazelnut cake with zabaione or chocolate, Madernassa del Roero pear.
